These are incredible images of a kudu with a unique horn. The kudu bull has one normal-looking horn, while the other has been completely replaced by a gigantic growth.
Abraham De Villiers, the company manager, and the skilled photographer snapped the rare kudu.
The 52-year-old Limpopo resident was visiting Mowana Private Game Farm when he noticed the animal and took a series of photos.
According to the photographer, the kudu’s owner told him that the bull damaged his horn last June.
The horn’s outer layer separated, leaving only the bone. Not long later, the owner saw a growth development, which has continued to expand ever since.
According to the owner, the growth does not bother the kudu since, while it may compromise his hearing, it has no effect on his grazing. If he notices the kudu in pa.in, he will have it removed.
“I was quite delighted since I had never seen a kudu bull with such an extraordinary horn!” Abraham stated.
“I really know the owner, and he stated that while it may damage his hearing, it has no effect on his grazing, and he is happy and eats well.”
“I’m not sure I’ll ever see something like this again.”
