A guy was jolted awake from his siesta when he noticed his daughter’s dog wearing the teeth he had removed mid-snooze.
In a now-viral tweet, Eunice from Long Island, New York, tweeted photos of her dog unintentionally wearing her father’s dentures after he left them out.
‘A few months ago, my dog, Maggie, stole my dad’s dentures while he was napping (his gums had been h.u.rt.ing him so he took them out mid-afternoon) and he found her like this,’ Eunice wrote on Twitter with two hilarious pictures. When Eunice’s father first woke up, he couldn’t find the dentures and assumed he had left them in the bathroom. Instead, he found Maggie, a Shih Tzu-Chi
‘When they weren’t there, he went downstairs and discovered Maggie behind my living room table,’ Eunice explained to The Dodo.
When the father spotted Maggie, he couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous grin on her face caused by the dentures.
‘He emailed me a photo and explained everything, and I was in tears,’ Eunice recalled.
Maggie seemed pleased with herself for obtaining the dentures while her owner’s father slept in another room.
Maggie’s grin images went popular after Eunice shared them on Twitter at the end of August.
People asked for frequent images of Maggie so they could compare how she looked with and without the detachable teeth. Others on social media were concerned about what the father did with his teeth after retrieving them from the small puppy.
After seeing the photos, one Twitter user wondered, ‘Funny…does it imply he needs to buy a new set now?’
Eunice said that her father had subsequently purchased new teeth to replace Maggie’s.
Other readers offered to advise on when the father should remove his dentures in the future to avoid any harm to his mouth.
‘Lfmso this is hilarious…but also advise your dad to always take his denture out before going to sleep,’ one reader said.

Eunice then emphasized that her father always removes his dentures before going to bed. But when he took his midday nap, he just forgot and placed them in a location Maggie could reach.
