Dad and Doberman were playing a game of tug-of-ᴡᴀʀ in the backyard when the dog suddenly jumped right at his feet while snarling and growling. It all happened so quickly, Dad fell down wondering what was going on. He was growling ᴀɢɢʀᴇssɪᴠᴇly and it looked like he was fighting something. He then saw Chief shaking what he thought was the rope in his mouth. But it wasn’t the rope used for tug-of-war… It was a rattlesnake!
A dog has .s.ᴀᴄʀɪғɪᴄᴇᴅ his life to save eight members of his master’s family. The male dog belonging to the Doberman species fought a battle with mountain cobras for hours. Minutes after he emerged victorious, the dog .ᴅɪᴇᴅ due to the ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴᴏᴜs effects of repeated stings by the snakes.
According to reports, the mountain snakes on Monday tried to sneak into the house of Dibakar Raita of Sebekapur village under Raygada block of Gajapati district, nearly 400 km from here.
The dog which was guarding the house at the entrance hindered them which led to a .ꜰɪᴇʀᴄᴇ .ꜰɪɢʜᴛ among them.
It is a well-known fact that dogs do not count on receiving anything in exchange for the assistance they provide to their human masters. They just want to be loved by someone. This is yet an account of a canine companion that fought off a rattlesnake in order to save his human master, despite suffering a painful .bi.te in the process, and was afterward recognized as a hero for his bravery.
