Kittens Found Covered In Ink Are So Happy To Get Clean – Rescue Cat

Two very young kittens were rescued in England recently after being found “colored in” with a marker. Anyone who would do this to an animal is unimaginable, but luckily these two were found before their torment got any worse.

When the UK-based Bradford Cat Watch Rescue received a call from the police about two ɴᴇɢʟᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ kittens, they had no idea what to expect.

Still, they figured they’d rescued countless cats over the years, so they wouldn’t be too surprised by what awaited them. But when the volunteers finally arrived at the shelter, they realized that the situation was very different from anything they had experienced before.

“Here at BCWR KITTENS we often consider ourselves to be unshockable … we have dealt with most situations but this is a first,” Katie Jane, a rescuer with the group, wrote on media.

The two black and white felines had been ᴅ.ɪsꜰɪɢᴜʀᴇᴅ by unscrupulous thugs with blue and green pens when they were found by police and taken to Bradford Cat Watch Rescue Centre (BCWR) in West Yorks.

Two kittens were named Smurf and Shrek by staff at a cat rescue center.

“If these kittens had not been rescued, I’m sure they would have ᴅɪᴇᴅ in an hour or two.”

Luckily, these adorable kittens ended up in much more caring hands – Katie houses around 80 cats and kittens at her care center at any given time.

She said: “We whipped them straight to the vets. They are on medication and have eye drops, we are also bathing them in a special solution.

“So far they have had four baths. The color is starting to come off their bodies but is still on their faces and in their eyes.

No one is sure what the motive was for coloring these kittens with marker, but at least now no one will ever be able to harm them again.
