There is nothing that brings people together more than the love of animals, especially dogs. So, it is no surprise that a group of strangers came together to save the life of one dog in need.
It all started when one man saw the dog sᴛʀᴀɴᴅᴇᴅ in the middle of rushing water in the Sayran reservoir in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The man did not ask for any help, he just rushed into the flooding water, on his own, to help rescue the dog. He was able to reach the dog but that is when he became sᴛᴜᴄᴋ himself. The only problem was that he couldn’t get back out on his own with the frightened dog.
People started to see what was happening and many jumped in to help. They joined together to form a human chain to pull the man and the dog back to safety. Three other men jump over the wall and start to form a human chain down to the waters below. They have the intent to be able to grab the man and dog to help them up, but it does not go according to plan. The group tries to get the dog to safety, but it is to no avail.
A man with a dog tries a new plan. He tries to lift the dog to the other men, so they can at least save the dog. The dog is really frightened and will not budge.
After the three men forming the human chain are spread as far as their arms can reach but it is not enough. The men climb back up to try and regroup, but that is when more strangers come to help. Instead of having to come up with an entirely different plan, they are able to add two more men to their human chain.
They form their human chain again as bystanders watch on with high hopes. And this time they are able to reach the dog and man that are waiting below in the rushing water.
When the man successfully brought the dog to the slope, the other men then formed a chain to get the dog and their friend back to the dry land.
An onlooker from the other side of the reservoir was able to film the entire rescue from start to finish. The onlookers give the heroes their well-deserved applause as they all start to high-five each other!
