A cute kitten loved her owner so much she couldn’t bear to leave her side. A year has passed since this cat’s owner ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ, but the kittie hasn’t left her old lady’s ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ ever since.
Passer-by Keli Keningau Prayitno, 28, from Central Java, Indonesia, was the first to hear the mourning kittie’s cries and to try to help the cat by adopting her. But that didn’t work – the next day the feline was at her owner’s ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ as usual.
The only times she leaves the spot is when she goes to her owner’s children’s house where they feed her. Strangers who see her also give her food and water, but the cat wants nothing but to roll in the earth and sleep at the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ every night.
Animal experts say that although cats can seem cool and aloof, ɢʀɪᴇᴠing after an owner’s ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ is real. Felines can become anxious, lose interest in the outer world, and become unlike themselves.
“She sleeps there and meows, ” Keli said . “It’s very sad to see. It shows just how cʟᴏsᴇ animals are to their owners.”
Someone tried to adopt the kittie, but she ran away to be next to the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ.
“I thought she was homeless and tried to help but every time she would keep returning to the same place.”
Keli said he had follᴏwed the cat and found out the ex-owner had been an old lady named Kundari who had recently ᴅɪᴇd.
