Depressed Rescue Dog Had No One To Play With – Becomes Best Friends With A Rat

Despite their enormous size difference, Osiris and Riff Ratt are inseparable best buddies. Osiris is a 5-year-old Dutch Shepherd, and Riff Ratt is a 7-month-old rat, as the name suggests. The partners in crime are inseparable, and their degree of faith in one another is astounding! Riff Ratt and Osiris, are unexpected companions who have become inseparable.

The weird yet charming bond began when Osiris’ owners rescued Riff Ratt at the age of four weeks. He was so frail and little that he hadn’t even opened his eyes and needed to be nursed back to health using a syringe.

Osiris was a rescue dog that was abandoned in a parking lot when he was a puppy. When the family temporarily took him in, they fell head over heels for him and wanted to keep him forever, so it seems to reason that he would respond positively to another res.cue.

Osiris is now a trained therapy dog, and he has assisted his family in caring for a variety of animals throughout the years.

Osiris’ parents were understandably concerned that the two wouldn’t be able to tolerate each other – or, worse, that the dog might attempt to harm Riff in some manner. After all, Osiris is a massive dog, but Riff is a little rat.

Those misgivings, however, were absolutely unfounded because they hit it off right away. They’re so close that Osiris allows Riff to go inside his mouth and brush his teeth for him!

“Riff Ratt is fond of kissing the inside of Osiris’ lips.” I’m sure you’re asking if we’re worried that Osiris will eat Riff – NO! “Osiris has assisted with the care and adoption of scores of animals, and he is the gentlest dog I’ve ever encountered,” their owner said on Instagram.

They not only like hanging out and spending time together, but they are also not scared to express their feelings for one another. They’re practically inseparable! The bond between these two is unbreakable.

“Watching them care for each other and form such an unexpected bond gives me a glimmer of hope for the rest of the species on this planet, including humans.”
