Just like humans, an animal does not have it easier when it comes to losing its loved ones.
The heartbreaking moment was caught on camera in China. As shared by a Facebook user called Show Lin, her family has a habit of feeding stray cats and enjoy giving food to those cats coming their way since a long time ago. One of the stray cats they’ve been feeding is called Xiaohua, which means little flower in Chinese.
One day, the family discovered that Xiaohua’s partner was accidentally hit by a car and .ᴅɪᴇᴅ. After realizing the situation, the family members immediately placed it on the roadside and called the pet ʙᴜʀɪᴀʟ worker to help ʙᴜʀʏ the cat.
The family was saddened by the ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ of the stray cat but they never imagine how painful it is for Xiaohua. While waiting for the pet ʙᴜʀɪᴀʟ service to leave, the family unexpectedly discovered that Xiaohua had been sitting in front of the box and bowed its head.
It turned out that Xiaohua was screaming and crying near the box—it must’ve insisted to accompany its partner till the very last moment.
After the short clip of Xiaohua crying has been uploaded to social media, the internet community has been expressing their condolences and saying how heartbreaking it is to see such a mournful incident.
“This is heartbreaking. The cat must be very heartbroken by the .d.eath of its partner. It is crying its heart out,” commented one of the users.
